Late Summer Peaches: An Artists’ Slideshow

I am savoring these last hot and sunny days in Minneapolis and yet I eagerly anticipate the autumn. Late summer has brought a crisp edged breeze to rustle the zinnias and sunflowers in my garden. The change of seasons is on the wind and I want to be all the more present and grateful. One of my favorite ways to relish the moment is through the fresh fruits and vegetables available in my garden and at the market. The peak of summer has passed, the time when it seemed every fruit was at its best and in abundance. I look forward to the apples and pears of the fall season; but it was peaches and melons that had my heart the last few weeks. As an artist I was able to celebrate this passion with a series of vibrant watercolor paintings. I hope you enjoy seeing my paintings along with a few sparks of inspiration from my life lately.
